CHAMXPAGNE TURNS ONE TODAY!

September 7, 2021

Chamxpagne turns one today! I can’t believe it's been a whole year. I have experienced so much growth, so many late-night creative sessions and photoshoots in the freezing cold. I’ve also received so much love and support from my subscribers, creative partners family, and friends. And to think that I started a lifestyle blog in the middle of a PANINI! And I would do it all over again, with no regrets. As I reflect on the last 365 days, I am reminded of the question that led me to create this space ... who am I?

'Who am I?'

I had been an athlete my entire life and was somewhat decorated coming out of high school so, my athlete reputation stuck to me like glue. During my freshman year of college, my love for track and field began to dwindle. It took me a few years to emotionally process my un-manifested dreams of wanting to compete as a professional track and field athlete. But in time, I moved on knowing that although my athlete identity will always be a part of me, she was no longer the core of who I was. This gave me the peace of mind I needed on my journey to finding myself.

I’ve spent the last 5-6 years undoing my old ways of thinking and relearning the world through a more experienced and nuanced lens. I've learned that at my core, I'm a student and a teacher that loves learning, exploring and impacting the world around me.

Today, I’m the most grounded and happiest I have been in a while. Not to mention, my baby, ChamXpagne, was birthed and cultivated out of this version of me. In this space, I'm able to use my blog as a connector to people. I share stories that let others know that they aren’t the only ones going through some shit. We are all trying to navigate life with our heads above water.

As I continue to pursue my passion and purpose, I can only see myself becoming more at peace and confident with who I am. I hope to continue to empower and inspire others to pursue the best versions of themselves because when you do the work on the inside, the outside comes effortlessly.

Xoxo,
